There is a train that goes UNDER THE SEA!!! And it takes CARS and VANS and LORRIES!. It is called Le Shuttle and it connects the UK with France.

It opened 30 years ago in 1994.

We went on it to get to France in our camper.

Cars and vans drive into special carriages that have security doors between each carriage. There were 3 campervans in our carriage. You stay in your vehicle for the whole crossing. It takes 35 minutes.

Lorries travel in open carriages, we watched on go past on a different platform whilst we were waiting to board.
