We spent a day cycling around Rouen which is a beautiful old town in Normandy, France. The old town has cobbled streets, narrow lanes and some of the buildings are so old they even lean into the street.
It was really hot, 28 degrees, the day we visited. We parked up on the outskirts of town and cycled in along the River Seine, We noticed a couple of the barges moored on the river had cars on their roofs, it looked really funny. As it was so hot I cooled off by playing in the fountains beside the river.

We saw the famous clock tower, Le Gros-Horloge and Massacre Street which was decorated with swimming floats which was odd. We saw the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen and Saint-Ouen Abbey Church. Both were really impressive. Daddy lifted me up so I could touch a gargoyle, I thought they looked cute.

We didn’t realise that directly in front of where we parked our vans was a railway, it was really overgrown. We were shocked when a really really really long freight train came past the front of the van. There were no signs or barriers, we could have easily parked across the tracks and that would have been a disaster.
