We visited the British Ironworks and Sculpture Park. All the sculptures are made out of scrap and discarded materials. Some of the statues were enormous. The park was divided into areas with different themes. Many of the sculptures had information boards explaining all about the animals or characters.
Things Learnt:
- Some camels have one hump, others have two
- Swordfish; what they look like, what they eat
- Colour psychology; what different colours tend to make people feel.
- Who Ganesha is, a hindu god. The remover of obstacles, the god of wisdom, and the god of good fortune.
- Art comes in all shapes and sizes
- Sculptures are a way for someone to express something
