Helping chop logs

We have two log burners in our house and we make our own logs from fallen trees in our garden.

Daddy used his chainsaw to make the logs and then mummy and I put all the logs into the wheelbarrow and then stacked them in our woodstore.

Logs need to season for a year before they can be burnt. This just means they need to be left to dry out.

The final part of this job is to then load all the brash (twigs and thin branches) onto the back of the 4×4 and put them in our natural fence. This is my favourite part as I get to drive the car from daddy’s lap.
