Westonbirt Arboretum

We broke up our long drive home with a stop at Westonbirt Arboretum. An arboretum is a collection of trees. We visited with my Uncle.

We say the tallest tree in England, a Douglas Fir which stands at just over 60m tall. These trees can reach the age of 1,000 years old and grow to over 100m.

We also saw an amazing smoke bush and I had lots of fun climbing on all the playgrounds.

We all enjoyed the tree top walk, it makes you feel like you are a squirrel, up high in the trees. We also found some great carvings, my favourite was one of three dogs.
