Midsummers Watch Parade

We visited Chester over the summer solistice weekend (the longest day of the year). The annual Midsummers Watch Parade was on. It is one of the UKs oldest festivals.

Parades of people dressed up and playing instruments marched through the crowded city streets.

There was a really big black dragon, and lots of people on dancing alongside the carnival floats. It was very noisy and busy, but fun too.
