Ditsy for Dinosaurs

Since our visit to London back in February, I have been hooked on dinosaurs.

Recent learnings:

  • hatching an egg
  • excavating an egg
  • visited Dinoland
    • making dinosaurs from clay
    • painting ceramic dinosaurs
    • learning about fossils
    • watching talks about dinosaurs
  • visited Wellington Country Park and followed the Dinosaur Trail
  • watched three of the Jurassic Park movies
  • watching lots you tube videos
  • reading books on dinosaurs with mummy
  • listening to the Yoto Dinosaur collection of cards
  • making my own lego dinosaurs
  • making dinosaur worlds out of whatever I can find lying around
  • I know the names and can identify the following dinosaurs:
    • Tyrannosaurus Rex
    • Carnotaurus (like T-Rex but with spines on it’s back
    • Spinosaurs (the most dangerous dinosaur)
    • Stegosaurus (has plates on it’s back for protection and to control it’s temperature)
    • Diplodocus (has longest neck)
    • Triceratops (means 3 horned face, and has beak like a parrot)
    • Velociraptor
    • Mosasaurs (lives underwater)
    • Allosauraus
    • Ankylosaurus (has club tail)
    • Dilophosaurus (has collar that spits)
    • Teradactyl (a flying dinosaur)
