Nature in Ireland

Over the 9 days we spent in Ireland we saw lots of wildlife.

Our first find was in New Ross, we stopped and watched the Sand Martins collecting mud for their nests.

In Dungarvan we spent a while watching some really big fish, it looked like they were just chasing each other round and having fun. We also saw the remains of a really bright pink crab.

We enjoyed eating fish and chips and sharing some of our chips with the rooks. I thought they were just crows but mummy explained the difference between crows, jackdaws and rooks.

We also saw lots of hooded crows which we don’t have in the UK.

Whilst in Cahir I also got to learn about Racing Pigeons.
