• Painting a prize

Over the last few days I have been making artwork to auction on Christmas Day.

It’s a tradition in my mum’s household to play a board game called Masterpiece every Christmas.

The players bid for paintings that have a secret value. Once all the paintings have been sold the true values are revealed and the player with the paintings with the highest combined value is the winner.

But, there is a twist, a few paintings are forgeries and so have zero value.

I have made 9 drawings and my friend drew 4 as well. The ones she drew will be the forgeries.

Today I am making a special picture which will be the prize.

  • Religious Education

I attended at event at a church in Lampeter.

I learnt about Christanity and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    I made a Christingle:

    • the orange is the world
    • the candle is Jesus as he is the light
    • the four sticks represent the four seasons, as Jesus loves you all year
    • the red band is his blood

We made other arts and craft things too.

We also went to the church for a service and sang some Christmas Carols.

  • Recent Arts & Crafts

    • Christmas drawings
    • Christmas cards
    • making parrot toys
    • art competition with mummy, we each had to make a funny face, colour in some glasses and draw clothing onto dolls. Daddy was the judge and I won two our of three rounds.

  • Visit to British Birds of Prey Centre

I went with my friend Mada to visit Father Christmas at the British Bird of Prey Centre just outside Carmarthen.

Aswell as making a dinosaur, giving ourselves elf names and of course meeting Father Christmas we also got to watch an owl show and hold a White Faced Owl. He was very fluffy and light to hold.

  • Christmas Drama Show

I performed at Doyles Drama Academy Christmas Show.

I did a duo with my friend Esmae. Then we sang and danced to the 12 days of Christmas and recited a Christmas poem with another girl from club.

  • Snow White at Panto

I went with my friend to see the panto at The Lyric in Carmarthen. This year they were showing Snow White.

It was very funny and my favourite character was Jingles the Jester. I like panto and I join in with the booing and shouting.
