  • Making Halloween Eyeballs

    Tonight I did a science experiment with mummy.

    First I had to stir calcium chloride into a bowl of water at room temperature until it had dissolved completely.

    Next I squeezed some drops of red dye around the edge of the plastic spoon. On top of this we filled the plastic spoon with sodium alginate and finally added a drop of the black dye into the centre.

    The next step is to lower the plastic spoon into the bowl of water and gently shake the spoon from side to side until it formed a ball and floated out.

    We left the eye balls in the water for at least five minutes and then let then set fully overnight.

  • Cycle Ride with Great Uncle Simon

    We met up with my Great Uncle Simon, who sounds really old but is actually only one year older than daddy.

    We cycled to two different parks and a pump track. The pump track was very busy and looked hard so only daddy did a lap.

    We all tried out the different exercise equipment in the playgrounds.

  • Flip Out Portsmouth

    I did two hours trampolining with my cousin. It was great fun as they had gym horses that you can bounce onto.

  • Les Miserables

    My cousin Isobel had the leading female role in Les Miserables.

    The play was very long and instead of speaking all the actors sang their lines.

    At the start of the second half the fire alarm went off and we were all evacuated to the carpark. A fire engine soon arrived and declared the building safe to go in. The fog machine had caused the alarm to go off.

  • Apple Crumble for Nanny & Grandad

    Whilst I was visiting Nanny & Grandad I made them apple crumble.

  • Hampshire Trip

    We have just returned from 4 nights in Hampshire visiting our families.

    We stayed at Nanny & Grandads house and whilst I was there I made them an apple crumble. We also visited their local playground where we designed an assault course and mummy, daddy and I all competed to see who could do the fastest time. Mummy held the lead for ages but then I went faster and then daddy set the record time.

    I went trampolining with my cousin and saw their hamster.

    We had lunch at a boat yard in Portsmouth and watched a big crane lift some boats in and out of the water. The boats are stored on shelves in a giant warehouse, it looked really funny.

  • Chocolate Haunted House

    Today I assembled and decorated a chocolate haunted house.

    It’s held together with icing sugar.

  • Parkour

    I have started Parkour with some friends. It is exhausting!

  • Helping with Gardening

    Daddy and I cleared away lots of big branches that mummy had cut down. I helped load them all into our garden car and then I got to sit on daddy’s lap and steer.

  • Hans Zimmer Illuminated Orchestra

    Mummy and I went to see the Hans Zimmer Illuminated Orchestra at St Davids Cathedral.

    The orchestra featured brass instruments, percussion, keyboard, a flute, a singer and a string section.

    They played movie tunes including some I knew like Harry Potter, Jurassic Park and E.T.
