Foreign number plates

Whilst we were abroad I noticed that the cars had different letters on their number plates.

Some were different colours too. Mummy explained that cars from the United Kingdom have UK either at the start of the number plate or as a sticker on the back of the car.

Other countries have different letters:

F = France

B = Belgium

NL = the Netherlands

D = Germany, the German word for Germany is Deutschland and that’s why it’s a D.
