My grandad came to visit for a few days and we did lots of fun things together. I read him one of my books.

We went to Carmarthen and walked along the River Towy to look at a particular old railway bridge which used to open up to allow boats to come up the river to the town. Daddy explained how the cogs and gears worked to lift the bridge.

We saw a couple of hairy caterpillars crossing the path but then we saw something really exciting….. a seal!

We had a coffee in the town centre and showed grandad the Drover statues in St Catherine’s Walk.

On his last evening we had some fun playing with sparklers.
