Tonight I lead a family night walk. We went down to the pond with our torches and heard lots of owls. There was low cloud so we couldn’t see the moon or stars, so it was really dark.

After our walk we had a bonfire. We noticed how different materials burned different colours. The flames ranged from bright white, to yellows, reds, blues and even some greens and purples. It was very pretty.

The smoke went straight up and my hair didn’t smell afterwards. That was because there was no wind this evening.
