Seashore Safari with Cardigan Marine Wildlife Centre

After the Plant Dewi Family Fun Day, we headed off to New Quay to attend a Seashore Safari with the Cardigan Marine Wildlife Centre.

The session started in their classroom where we were shown a presentation teaching us about different habitats and the animals and plants that live there.

Then we were each given a bucket and net and we headed out to the rock pools. I caught some shrimps (which are the same as prawns) they are almost see thorough so very hard to spot. I also caught some sea snails, a small crab and a tiny fish.

I learnt some of the different types of seaweed and they they are divided into 3 different colour groups: green, red and brown.
